It's always blown my mind a bit that people will go on the internet and pretend to be someone else entirely - I tried it once and I think it last 2-3 days, Gob would probably remember. Cunning Linguist. I can't lie so effectively, apparently. That's a trait of which I'm terribly proud.

anyway, the contest is over. meade and jim get to split the imaginary pot cookie because they didn't take it seriously, but jim gets the big half because meade was an instigator.

I am who I say I am, a retired steel worker , a simple fisherman and a writer, successful accepted or otherwise, a writer is what I am. hell, I may not even be good. either way I know that I need more practice. that is one reason why I m here. I submitted one little crappy thing that I scribbled down 30 yrs ago when I first got here just to see what would happen. I thought about playing you all a few songs or submitting some of my better stuff, but it was old news, the one about scorch tawes is pretty good, but you guys don t know who he is, and the one about the orioles was good and got printed as a column, but I never followed up on the opportunity, writing after ten hours busting your butt just ain t on, man. but writing is suddenly fun again, I m sittin on my ass a lot anyway and I hate depending on tax money for my income.

so there you have it, the rest of the story (I m paul Harvey ..., Jr)

P.S.- liberty, meade is the G-man.....

most importantly, I m trying to follow jesus, I just need to try harder....
