incidentally it's occasions just like that which are the reason I don't have any bumper stickers etc.

I assume the same thing would have happened to someone with a "mean people suck" or a peace sign bumper sticker...

Perhaps so, LJ. But I look on it as a very positive commentary about Christianity. Evidently the expectation of the secular world is that real Christians will behave better than non-Christians. Hence the certainty that a foul-mouthed whiner must not be Christian after all but had stolen the car.
