Explaination below...
That's not my real heir

SHANE WARNE has labelled the national selectors' decision to axe Nathan Hauritz as ''dumb'' after Tasmania's Xavier Doherty was last night all but assured of making his Test debut against England in Brisbane on Thursday.

The national selectors will hope left-arm orthodox spinner Doherty - Australia's ninth tweaker since Warne retired in 2007 - can become the nemesis of England batting kingpin Kevin Pietersen and help reclaim the Ashes after he was selected in a trimmed 13-man squad.

Doherty made his one-day international debut against Sri Lanka this month and, despite a modest first-class record of 84 wickets at an average of 48 in 35 matches, is now regarded as the country's premier spin bowler. His elevation continues a revolving-door policy under selection chairman Andrew Hilditch, who as late as last month all but confirmed off-spinner Hauritz was the main man.
