From his Facebook page:
- Again, it appears that I need to clarify something:
In a previous post I used the word "blowjob."
I used no actual profanity - and in fact, other than "blowjob" I only used the mild epithet "darn" instead of the stronger language I typically use. But there's no denying that in point of fact I did use the bad, bad word "blowjob."
A number of people took offense to the word "blowjob."
These people thought my choice of words, well, sucked.
I posted one such comment from a conservative Christian who was spitting mad regarding my use of the word "blowjob." But that wasn't the only complaint. I also noticed on a number of shares, people really went down on it, cautioning their own, more conservative Jesus-lovin' readers about the bad word (blowjob). This morning my Facebook inbox contains a dozen or so complaints about "pornography" in my "blowjob" post, it's right there, in your face so to speak.
Folks, I apologize for my use of the word "blowjob."
I don't expect you to swallow this but in my defense, I thought everybody was okay with the word "blowjob," ESPECIALLY conservative Christians.
Now I know it seems like things have come to a head, but I'm totally serious. It just slipped out. No, really, twenty years ago, conservative Christians spent nearly $70 million dollars on Bill Clinton's hummer. Hell, they did nothing but wag their tongues over that bit of oral gratification for months, they're STILL gobbling it up. I gotta tell you, folks, when they plastered Lewinsky's blue dress up on every 24 News channel with conservative pundits expertly tracing the stains in electronic highlights, I, well, darn it, folks, I'm just saying here you can sort of see how I might have thought it was okay to use the word "blowjob."
Mea culpa. It won't happen again. Probably. Maybe. Well, don't hold your breath.

Addendum: Yes, I'm probably having too much fun with this. I'll probably go blind.
