Name That Movie!
Re: Name That Movie!
Ray, if I gave you a whole galaxy full of hints I don't think it would help...
Re: Name That Movie!
RR it’s a Galaxie. But I guess nobody’s Prefect.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

CP, as I recall, Ford made two cars with names that were homophones--the Galaxy, a minvan type car sold in Europe (I only know because I once rented one), and the Galaxie , the 60s and 70s car most of us know. I thought the first name was a better clue.

Let's continue on with good movies made from good books, Alex.
And I knew just as surely, just as clearly, that life is not a work of art, and that the moment could not last.
PLEASE... Name That Movie!

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
Re: Name That Movie!
It just occurred to me that my habit of posting images of movie posters as the answer prevents effective searching of the thread to determine whether, as I suspect, this movie has been used before.
Though with a thread of this many pages, it’s very likely repetition will occur.

That stream of thought had never rattled through my brain, BSG. Good point. Next quote
The Lord has blessed us all today... It's just that he has been particularly good to me.

I feel like catching a flying fish.

Not as far off as you would think, Ray. This movie features a wayward soul, but a son in this case.
Why is it the people who need the most help... won't take it?

Nice one Meade, but not the right one as you know. Next quote:
That was the only time we fought. Perhaps we wondered after which one of us was tougher. But if boyhood questions aren't answered before a certain point, they can't be raised again. So we returned to being gracious to one another, as the church well suggested.

The book is pure poetry - as is the movie.

BSG is a winner! A River Runs Through It. One final quote before passing the fishing rod:
Like many fly fishermen in western Montana where the summer days are almost Arctic in length, I often do not start fishing until the cool of the evening. Then in the Arctic half-light of the canyon, all existence fades to a being with my soul and memories and the sounds of the Big Blackfoot River and a four-count rhythm and the hope that a fish will rise. Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of those rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs. I am haunted by waters.
