Since Long Run's guess has the correct movie title in it, I reserve the right to declare him the "close enough" winner if nobody else gets it soon...
Euclid's first common notion is this: Things which are equal to the same things are equal to each other. That's a rule of mathematical reasoning and its true because it works - has done and always will do. In his book Euclid says this is self evident. You see there it is even in that 2000 year old book of mechanical law it is the self evident truth that things which are equal to the same things are equal to each other.

Oh, or was it 'Vampire"?
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

No, and it's not Abraham Lincoln Conquers The Martians either...

We're having a sudden rush of "close enough" answers, but as Long Run Was first, I hereby declare him the winner...

Lincoln... Lincoln what?

No Lincoln the Nazi Fighter, or Lincoln's Summer of '42, or Lincoln's Revenge, or Lincoln Battles the Martians?

Geez, just plain Lincoln? No wonder we couldn't guess this -- it was too simple.

I guess I put my left foot in that one. Rather than being a bump on a log, I will jump right in with a new one:
Someday I think you and I are going to have a serious disagreement.

I used to be able to eat 50 eggs, but not anymore. And that is a no to my boy Luke. The key figure in the correct movie is a natty one, though you would not know it by looking at him. Next quote:
Death and honor are thought to be the same, but today I have learned that sometimes they are not.

For those of you playing along at home, the nickname of the lead character is found in my clues above. Here is another quote:

D: There is a war on. How is it you are headed west?

H: Well, we kinda face to the north and real sudden-like turn left.

Are you shitting me? OK... let's try this. It's an old one, going back to my grade school years.
- What's Pop gonna sell our steers for?
- For money, of course.
- What's money?
- It's what you buy things with.

I don't know why this should come to mind, but it's not a movie. It's reality (sadly)

Ray, I have an idea, but will wait for an additional quote to be sure and to give others a chance. If it's the movie I'm thinking of, I saw it when I was a kid too, and the end (a very sad one) stuck with me for a long time. Not the typical child fare of the time (especially given who produced it), but it was a good film (maybe because of that).

That was already hinted.
J- What you're needing more than a horse is a dog.
T- Yes sir, but what I'm wanting more is a horse.
J- Alright, you act a man's part, I'll bring you a man's horse.
