Maybe, but this was a major tag line from the movie. And it was a fairly well known, and acclaimed, movie.

But to give a hint, wes was right, it was John Wayne who said it.

Nope.

One more hint: Buddy Holly supposedly based the song on this movie line; he wrote it right after he saw the movie 9although it has nothing to do with the plot).

I m thinking of the one where he had to go find his kidnapped young son, with his other sons and his indian buddy, but I can t remember the title, so I can t do anything but assist.....

Give that man a cee-gar. The Searchers it was. the quote occurred numerous times throughout the movie, and was even used on the posters. I guess it was something that stuck with me more than with a lot of the others here who saw the movie.

FWIW, AFI called it the best western movie ever and placed it 14th on the best movies of all time; many other groups have similarly lauded the movie. I'm not a big John Wayne fan, but this movie is something special and well worth the watch.
