Ha! Yes!
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

The Madness Of King George is one of my all time favorite flicks...(we re-watched it a couple of weeks ago, which is why I thought of it)

I went to see it when it originally came out mainly because it starred Nigel Hawthorne...

Who I became a big fan of from his brilliant portrayal of the Machiavellian Permanent Secretary Sir Humphrey Appleby in the Britcoms Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister...

Image

He got an Oscar nomination for Best Actor for TMOKG, (didn't win; I was rooting for him)

His co-star was Helen Mirren, (you may have heard of her) she was nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her portrayal of Queen Charlotte... (didn't win that one, but did win for her performance of a more recent Queen...)

Dame Helen is the answer to the trivia question, "what screen actress played three British Queens?"

(And no, she never portrayed Oscar Wilde... 8-) )

Another interesting factoid I just learned about Mirren doing some Googling on her background for this post:
Dame Helen Mirren was born in Queen Charlotte's Hospital in West London.

OK, the next one:

You are an old man who thinks in terms of nations and peoples. There are no nations. There are no peoples. There are no Russians. There are no Arabs. There are no third worlds. There is no West. There is only one holistic system of systems, one vast and immane, interwoven, interacting, multivariate, multinational dominion of dollars. Petro-dollars, electro-dollars, multi-dollars, reichmarks, rins, rubles, pounds, and shekels. It is the international system of currency which determines the totality of life on this planet. That is the natural order of things today. That is the atomic and subatomic and galactic structure of things today! And YOU have meddled with the primal forces of nature, and YOU... WILL... ATONE!

The Wind and the Lion

Sean Connery and Candace Bergen--what more do you need? I just watched it again a few weeks back on cable.

I'm with you on this, MGM. Thought I might be reasonably good at this, but not so; then again, I haven't seen most of the movies that have been quoted. I must spend too much time in the sunlight. :)
