Lord, this joke's been going around for donkey's years. Fake radio broadcast doesn't make it newer or funnier.

I can't get the video to play, but from the picture of the air craft carrier and the first quote that shows up on the screen, I'm going to guess that this is the joke that ends with the line, "This is a light house"...
It has been around for a while but, (unlike Meade apparently) I did think it was funny the first time I heard it...
ETA:
Here's another version I found on Youtube (with a German guy playing the aircraft carrier commander)

I also found what I believe is the version that Scooter posted, (for anyone else who may be having trouble getting it to play on Facebook:)
There's something the captain says in this version that is a dead giveaway that it can't possibly be a real exchange. Anybody spot it?

it can't possibly be a real exchange
Hence the reason for putting in in Laffs and not Politics.

LJ, do you need subtitles for posts now as well? I did not say it was not funny the first time I heard it - which was somewhere around 1964. I don't think it's funny in this new version.

Well...
You could have believed the story to be true, and put it in Laffs because you thought it was funny that the Navy had screwed up like this...

Here's another variant, and this is the one I saw most recently —
Note that this goes on to show a web address of http://www.silva.se — this is a advertisment for a company that manufactures navigation equipment, including compasses. I had a Silva compass back when I was in Boy Scouts, and wish I had it yet. -"BB"-

If I hadn't been familiar with the joke, here is the line that would have red-lined my Hoax Meter:
"We are currently heading to the Persian Gulf to take part in military maneuvers for an offensive against Iraq"....
No captain of a US Navy vessel would ever broadcast his destination and mission over an open frequency to an unknown recipient...
Much less one who had risen to the level to command a Carrier Task Force Group....

I caught that too.
They may as well have said, "We're going to secretly invade Iraq and you are in our way!! And by the way, here's a list of the ships we're going to use...."
