Didn't McDonald's sell 'roo meat as hamburger a few decades ago?

Did anyone here besides oldr wonder about the flavor of a kangaroo after watching that video?

Hey I didn't start it.
RayThom commented on roo meat at McD's and Dales said it was Jack in the Box.
but still, I wonder what roo meat tastes like? There was a resturant around here that used to serve all these "non standard" meats. They would carry around the slab on a carving board and you would pick what you wanted. I always meant to go there but never made it. Supposedly they had roo meat and ostrich and some others I forgot.

They advertise that it's delicious and puts a little spring in your step. One can only hop.

Twenty-two bucks a kilo??
Assuming those were Aussie dollars, that still converts to almost $7.50 per pound American — or about the price of a good cut of beefsteak in my local supermarket.
I suppose, for that sort of price, I'd try it .... once, anyway.
