And you know they are Canadian bears, because they politely complied.
(Except I'm not sure if the guy is full blooded Canadian, because he forgot to say "sorry" before asking them to leave.)

I had a black bear experience much like that myself, except I opened the slider door and spoke to the black bear who was about 3 feet away pilfering sunflowers from the garbage can I stored them in for the birds (s/he’d knocked the top off despite the bricks I placed on the lid). I said, ‘hey, knock that off!’ in a conversational tone and the bear looked at me briefly, then bolted. I had no idea how fast a black bear could move.
*Most* of the time black bears are quick to run off from human encounters - but that one was slower in departing because she’s a sow with cubs and ready to defend them if necessary.
