Re: Lutecrous?
Oh lutefisk, oh lutefisk,
How fragrant your aroma.
Oh lutefisk, oh lutefisk,
You put me in a coma.
You smell so strong, you look like glue,
You taste just like old overshoe.
But lutefisk, come Saturday,
I t'ink I'll eat you anyvays.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

This is where I first heard of this "gastronomic delight" :
Re: Lutecrous?
I was introduced to lutefisk in a paneled church basement just like that, shortly after I arrived in rural Montana. I only had to try it the once . . .

Digression trivia question...
Without Googling, can anyone name the well known actress who did the voice of the Minister (and provider of the lutefisk) in that King Of The Hill episode?

Lutecrous?
Was it Britany Murphy?

Re: Lutecrous?
No...
It wasn't someone who regularly did voices on the show...(Rev. Karen Stroup was the only character she ever did, and she only did it for this episode.)
But it's someone who's name everyone here would immediately recognize...

But we didn't see her smile.

Was it Glenn Close?
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
Re: Lutecrous?
No, not Glenn, but I'm pretty sure from his post that Long Run knows the answer...
Lutecrous?
I got it... Julia Roberts.

(That little kitty cat is actually another clue....)
Re: Lutecrous?
They actually did a show with lutefisk? I wasn't a dedicated watch of KOTH, but saw a number--just not that one. I used to have to eat it every Christmas Eve at my grandmother's--I never developed a taste for lye flavored goo, but I forced down a little for the sake of the holiday and family harmony. One thing it did do was make the Aqua Vite (sorry AkAvit) taste good (another Christmas Eve requirement, even for the kids).

OK, give-away clue:
And that's a shame, because she could turn the world on with it...Long Run wrote:But we didn't see her smile.

Why don't you just throw your hat up in the air?

Was she gonna make it after all?
