Wales fly-half Dan Biggar believes his brilliant between the legs try-scoring pass in the 42-0 win over Italy is a sign of his current confidence.

Biggar's instinctive piece of skill for Josh Adams' second try was one of the highlights of the crushing Six Nations opening victory.

"It was slightly behind me, so I thought I would just flick it and hope for the best," said Biggar.

"The boys have given me stick, I think I could have just passed it normally!"

Big deal.
Yesterday they played a game with an ovoid ball like that on this side of the pond too — maybe you blokes over there heard something about it? — and at least one player did that on just about EVERY SINGLE PLAY OF THE GAME!!

I don't know, he should have gotten bonus points for style on that score, kind of like North Korean basketball.

And in America they shout 'Hut!' when they do it. In Europe that word carries a certain amount of negative cultural baggage so they shout 'Economically sized dwelling, often rural, but clearly superior in terms of carbon footprint to a McMansion!' That's why European games such as cricket often take a little longer.

Something which is done repeatedly becomes the norm, something unusual, which is done as a spontaneous inspiration, is clever.
