Bag-o-Juice

Cycle 3 (of many more) is now under way.

I look forward to my chemotherapy infusion (Oxaliplatin,) which starts each cycle, with all the enthusiasm of sitting on a hot stove covered with carpet tacks. Now on to two weeks of pills (Capecitabine) and then a drug free week... and back to the top of the slide for another ride. So many side effects -- and they all suck, big time.

I'm posting in "Laffs!" because I can find humor in almost anything. This maybe a stretch, but it's better than wallowing in self-pity. Funny/odd I guess.

If it all was worth it... Only time it will tell.

If you need a place to talk about what you're going through, you've found it. Plan B. We're all here for you and will listen and help in any way we can, but above all, argue about it.

Ray--all I can say is hang in there. I have had too many friends who went through similar treatments (chemo, radiation, sometimes both) and in every case the side effects sucked beyond belief. Some were successful, others less so, but in the end it's the only way of standing up and saying "fuck you" to the disease, if that's any comfort. It's kind of like being in a fight with a much bigger guy, no matter what the outcome at least you will hurt him a bit, and your winning is a distinct possibility. Punch hard.
