That was my first thought.

We are supporters of the Exotic Feline Rescue Center in Centerpoint Indiana. We have been outside of the center when the lions were getting down. It sounds like we are in Jurassic Park. I love the big kitties and one day, ill-advisedly, stuck my finger through the fence to touch the back of one of the lions, a big, bushy male. He was lying on his side on top of his house with much fur sticking through the wire. He felt like horse's mane. He swished his big tail in warning so no more of that for me. Now days, or so it was pre covid, the tours were guided, so no more sticking fingers through the fence. Oh and I would never, never ever do that with tigers. They have no sense of humor in these matters whereas lions will give you a pass.
