Nah, it's taken from the lyrics of the song Signs (by Five Man Electric Band)--"Long haired freaky people need not apply"
Original song was from 1971.
A group called 'Tesla' (no relation to Musk or the car company) released a surprisingly identical-sounding cover of the song, recorded live in 1990 and included on the album Five Man Acoustical Jam, the only difference being the Tesla version modified a few lines in order to add a couple of f-bombs that had not been in the original version — example: the line, "blocking out the scenery" was changed to "fuckin' up the scenery". They later released a studio version of the song in 2007 which used the original 'clean' lyrics.
À propos des bottes, this is also one of the songs I have mastered as part of my karaoke repertoire. -"BB"-

If I recall correctly, that band released it twice, once in 1970 (it may have been a B side, but got some play in the US) and again in 1971 (not sure if it was re recorded, but it sounded pretty much the same (then again, I listened to AM radio at that time--my car had no FM).
