This is a really powerful photo. I recently watched a documentary on birding in the border regions of Texas and was aware of the terrible impacts on the biodiversity of the building of the border wall, which appears largely useless at addressing our immigration issues I think we can all agree.

I also perused the other winners at the link, some of the shots are utterly fantastic. The mouse for lunch and the plumage shot both struck me.
For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.
