Some businesses prefer cash because cash is king and untraceable, plus accepting debit and credit cards requires the business to pay fees to the bank that diminish their profit.
Some businesses say ‘cash only’ when they mean payment in full at time of services and the term cash in that context can be inclusive of debit/credit card payments.
