A public service announcement from the Office of the Sheriff of Monroe County (NY)

In August of 2014, I was driving on a back road in Oklahoma where for the first and only time in my life I saw a bird running next to the road that looked EXACTLY like something from an animated cartoon. Naturally, looked for a package marked ACME or a furry four legged animal similar to the picture above, but I did not see anything. I did shout to my companion in the car seat next to me "Is that a real road runner?" They replied, sure. no big deal, we see alot of them around here.

If the poster at the head of this thread is real, I want to vote for this sheriff.

Well, I found it on the internet, BP, so it MUST be real!  

Seriously, I found too many 'hits' from too many different sources when I did a Google search for this, and nobody calling it out as a meme or something out of the Babylon Bee or the Onion.  That's enough for me to believe that it's legitimate, and the product of someone who has a sense of humor that runs along the same pleasantly warped paths as mine ...

When I first lived in Yuma Arizona I was out in the foothills and would see roadrunners in my neighborhood every day - they are delightful birds and always made me laugh. Meep meep!

I went to the web page for Monroe County and there I discovered Korey Brown is now the sheriff. I guess the managed to control the online business from Acme Hardware.
