Joke for the Brits

Whilst on a visit to New York an Englishman decides to visit Ground Zero.
Spotting the local fire chief he passes on his support and admiration for their hard work.
"Thanks very much" replies the fireman "so where do you hail from?"
"Manchester" says the englishman.
"And what State is that in?"asks the fire chief.
"Oh,pretty much the same state as this" he replies
