BOYNTON BEACH (CBS4) –
Considered a role model by his peers and named “Officer of the Year” in 2010, Boynton Beach police officer David Britto has been charged with conspiring to sell more than 500 grams of methamphetamines between June 2009 and March 2011.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration announced the indictment Tuesday against Britto who joined the Boynton Beach police department in 2007. He also taught in the department’s Teen Police Academy, according to the Palm Beach Post.
Britto received the department’s highest honor last year for, among other things, using CPR to save a 2-year old girl who almost drowned in the family’s pool and helping to identify a man suspected of shooting to street preachers.
In a statement, Chief Matthew Immler said an internal affairs investigation into allegations against Britto is ongoing.
“The Boynton Beach Department vigorously polices itself, and this case is an example of how law enforcement roots out corruption from within its own ranks.”
Britto faces a potential life sentence if convicted.

Dexter-lite?
Do they mean 500
kilograms? If the story is right at only 500 grams, this equals about 2,000 hits, which translates into about $50-75,000 street value. (Source:

It's in "Laffs" due to the irony of it.
It's not really a discussion point.
It's posted for "laffs".
You are a fucking idiot.

He should get life without parole in solitary confinement (or a year in maximum security's general population) for selling 1/5 of a gram. Minimum, all corrupt cops should get LWOP in solitary confinement, never seeing another human being for the rest of their lives.

And how do you know that, attention whore?
You see, most people, (ie. everybody other than you) would see the irony in the OP, have a chuckle and move on.
People of intelligence (ie. not you,) have noticed some small discrepancy in the OP, and have remarked on it.
You however, having a desperate need to be noticed, cannot do this.
You need to draw attention, from me for some reason, and cannot help but post something, usually something deeply stupid or annoying, just to gain my attention.
Well you've got it. Does it make you feel good about yourself to do this?
I know it doesn't, but why break the habits of a lifetime eh?

I laffed. I didn't feel it was necessary to write that I laffed at the story, but I did.
Often I find something that has been posted here funny, but I don't bother to comment on it.
I just thought I would let the hard of understanding know that.
I laff at them too. But not in a pleasant chucklesome way. More in a "thank fuck I am not you" way.

Okay, since this has become a major point of controversy, I'll do my best to recall as accurately as I can...
I definitely smiled at the irony of a drug dealing cop being name "Officer Of The Year"....
I believe the smile, (which may have been more of a smirk really) was followed by a brief, light chuckle...
Though actually, the chuckle may have been more of a snort...
No, no, wait....
It was a snort that sort of morphed into a brief, light chuckle....
Or it may have been more of a titter than a chuckle...
Yes, that's it; it was a titter... certainly not a guffaw or belly laugh, but definitely a titter...followed I believe, by a brief head shake, and perhaps even an eye roll (I'm almost a 100% certain on the head shake; less so on the eye roll)
Unfortunately, I can not report the exact duration of the titter...
In the future, whenever I open a new thread in this section I'll make sure to have a a stop watch handy...
I hope this helps.

It is heartening to see that many people posting here understood the irony in this post.
It is terribly hilarious that some didn't.
I am still laughing at them.
Job done Gob, job done.

I got here late, but I had a chuckle and two snorts with this one. What do I owe you Gob? Do you have change for a belly laugh?

No charge my friend, though posting another funny earns you brownie points.
