A man driving a car with the numberplate "1DCK" has fired a gun into the air in a Sydney road rage confrontation, police say.
The man, driving a grey Toyota Prado, shot three rounds from a black handgun into the sky in Greenacre, in Sydney’s south-west, at 3.30pm yesterday, police said.
Police said a man, 52, was driving a green Holden Rodeo through the intersection of Boronia Road, when the Prado driver sounded his horn and pointed for him to pull over.
The Prado driver then produced a gun, fired into the air and drove away, police said.
The man was described as being aged between 30 and 40, and of Middle Eastern or Mediterranean appearance.
The car is believed to be from interstate and had blue numbers on a white background.
