Pa. grandma says she was duped by stranger's seeds
Associated Press January 6, 2012 (01-06) 04:50 PST Uniontown, Pa. (AP) --

A southwestern Pennsylvania grandmother says she's no marijuana grower, just a woman who wanted something that would look pretty next to her tomatoes.

A Fayette County jury cleared 67-year-old Alberta Kelley of drug possession and manufacture charges on Wednesday after she told them she simply tossed a handful of seeds into her garden after a bearded stranger[ It wasn't Charles Manson, he's locked up in CPC Corcoran] gave them to her.

Connellsville police charged Kelley a year ago after receiving a tip about Kelley's garden. Investigators say they found seven well-cultivated, four-foot marijuana plants behind her home.

But Kelley claimed she didn't know what she was growing. She said she'd been given the seeds by a stranger in a pointy hat who told her they were flower seeds.

Kelley tells WTAE-TV that to her, "weeds are weeds."

How would you know?

No it was Johnny Marryjane seed. It is his life’s mission to spread peace and happiness across the world. This is the age of Aquarius where there is only peace, happiness and love.

My Mother (who is 73) wouldn't have a clue. If someone gave her some seeds and said "these are cool plants, your tomatoes would love them" she would probably plant them - maybe even in the front yard!

...and marijuana would look good next to tomatoes. If you're not cultivating it for bud, it's a pretty, leafy plant.
