A team of macho fire fighters put aside their male pride to battle a car blaze while wearing dresses.
Members of the volunteer brigade - from the town of Sauk Centre in Minnesota in the USA's mid-north - were wearing dresses to raise money for charity on St Patrick's Day when the call came out that a vehicle was on fire nearby.
Rather than wait for the nearest full-time fire department to travel 15 miles (24km), the volunteers rolled up their skirts and got to work with their hoses.
Bystander Paul Streitz who caught the action on his camera wrote on Facebook: "They were in line for the parade 300 yards away and in my opinion did an amazing job. If anything we should be thankful for the work they did."
According to an Australian firefighter, members of the brigade are like police: never off-duty.
"If you see an emergency, you've got to stop and give assistance, especially if lives are in danger," said the high-ranking Sydney-based officer.

“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”
