BERNARD Tomic's coaching relationship with his father is in further doubt after a bizarre incident in which the 19-year-old asked an umpire to have Tomic snr removed from a tennis stadium in Florida.
Tomic complained to a chair umpire at the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami after his father was seen shaking his head and making comments from the stands.
''He's annoying me, I know he's my father but he's annoying me. I want him to leave but how is this possible?'' Tomic asked the umpire, Cedric Mourier.
''And if you tell him to leave what's going to happen?'' Mourier said.
''It's not going to happen. If you see him, then tell him to be quiet,'' Tomic said.
The umpire then issued a warning to the Tomic camp for illegal coaching from the stands and Bernard Tomic was heard to say ''thanks'' to the umpire.
