My dell desk stop is 7 years old.

Built sturdy but slow as molasses on a winter's day.

No $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for upgrade of new machine.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

I've taken to calling our computer "Frankenstein". I don't think there is one original bit of it left. I'm at the point of asking myself should I go on bolting new bits on, or should we catch up with the real world and buy something more up to date to work on.

Mind you, Hatch is getting a laptop for Xmas, so I should be able to network her old box to Frankenstein and make a whole new creature :)

Well, I've just bought a refurbished IBM ThinkCentre, which I haven't hooked up yet ... (my prior PC was a hand-built frame from 2002)

Wish me luck!

I'm still on an old P-200. Dude(s), I think I need a Dell.

*checks bank balance*

Nope, no Dell for me. :(

It's an old 200MHz (actually, about 280MHz) Pentium.

Yeah, pretty much. SInce I never got more than a 28.8K dialup (and it NEVER topped 21K & usually hovered around 15-18K) until about six months ago, it wasn't a big deal.
