I need to transfer programs, from Frankenstein (our old computer,) to Frankenstein II, (our new computer.)
Is there an easy way to do this?
We can connect them via a wireless router, or even wire them up to the router if need be.
Are there programs for doing this?
All advice welcome.
It's times like these I actually miss Gwen....

Why? You have Reality and Daisy and . . .
Shame on you.
Shame on you.

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Maybe remove hard drive from F1 and install as a second drive in F2...
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

You do mean programs not just data? Data transfer is easy and theres loads of different ways of doing that including a purpose built windows application which comes standard with most new computers called Windows Easy Transfer. Transfering programs is a whole other issue. To be honest whenever I've got a new pc I've only ever bothered with data transfer and I've reinstalled all my programs from scratch on the new one, that way I can do it one at a time and can fix any compatability issues which may arise when moving from one OS to another as they happen. The problem with trying to copy over installed programs is that a program installs little peices of itself into loads of different places on the computer plus theres all the different registry entries. Norton Ghost used to be one way of doing it - I've had varying degrees of success using it, and there are some other software progs around that claim to do similar all of which are premium products that you'll have to pay for (or maybe look for on the torrents
) But by the time you faff about doing that you may as well just do a direct fresh install if you've got the original software discs or program files.

If you can keep your head while those around you are losing theirs, you may have misjudged the situation.

Bwahahahaha!
