I neither see nor hear anything when I click on the image icon. Want to try again? Also, a description of what sort of engine we're supposed to hear would be helpful. Different engines suffer from different maladies.
A friend of Doc's, one of only two B-29 bombers still flying.
My favorite recorded engine noise is the opening of the 1966 movie 'Grand Prix" in Cinerama--the real deal with three projectors and a very wide screen.and huge speakers. It shows the beginning of the race at Monte Carlo. Many cars are lined up at the starting line, just sitting. A single mechanic comes out and fusses with a Coventry Climax engine and it starts. Then another similar engine starts and the picture is split showing overhead shots of two engines. Then two more and it splits, doubles again and then again. All coventry climax engines roaring. Then ONE Farrari V-12 starts and you hear a completely different shriek among all the roaring.
