Driving into work on Wednesday morning, one of my colleagues reversed out of her car parking spot without checking her blind spot for oncoming traffic and whacked her car into mine.
So poor Clinton J Coupe has a broken bumper and headlight
The girl has only just passed her test and this is her first car, her insurance premiums are already £3000.
But she does deserve an award for the dumbest comment ever made at the scene of an accident...
"Are you blaming me because your car is better than mine.....??"
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”
In hindsight, could you have avoided this by being more cautious?
BTW, most of the blind spots in American parking lots are caused by SUV's with their blacked out rear windows. When you are parked next to one, whether parked head-in or head-out, you can't see a bleedin' thing until it is too late.
There were no cars parked at either side of her, she failed to look AT ALL and backed out into my car.
*sigh*
Her insurance company are paying for the repairs to my car and are giving me a rental replacement. Though the lad at her insurance asked if a 1.1 ltr Fiesta would be OK as the replacement.
My response ...
"I drive a 2.0ltr sports coupe, what do you think??"
