No ,but it sounds intriguing, when the local "airshow " became a mixed affair with cars and you couldnt go look at the flying stock ,I lost interest.
(have a fantasy about going to "Oshkosh " however)

I would suggest going during the week, rather than on the weekends. It's elbow to elbow near anything you'd like to see on either Saturday or Sunday. Bad enough Monday thru Friday.

Same goes for a Murano - sounds like a medical treatment for nasal or eye problems

How about "Armada"? Or the now-classic "Chevy Nova", very popular in Mexico.

Or the Ford 'Probe' ... the favorite of proctologists and colorectal surgeons everywhere.

Automobile magazine compared it to Fred Astaire and it was then said to be the best handling car for under $35,000 in yr 2000.

A lovely car and even though it passed the scheduled replacement date 40,000 miles ago there isn't much that is as good. I might keep this one for regular use and buy a 'fun car' to replace it.

The new car:

Nice, pretty, and fun to drive. 300hp so it does get up and go when you want it to.

Did you buy a Prius? Why not? Are you a hypocrite?

We all need to buy a BMW? :shrug

True, it doesn't sound so bad but I couldn't afford it (or a Prius). At Bistro on Main Tuesday night we noticed a 2016 Tesla S in the parking lot. That's a pretty car.

I too would love to have the big Tesla. But I am not ready to do the planning necessary to drive a Tesla from Wilmington Delaware to Tulsa Oklahoma, my next planned road trip. Funny how nobody mentioned the Leaf. Perhaps because it was endorsed by that de-balled pro bicyclist.

Yeah, we should all follow dick's example and piss away a large chunk of money to stroke our fragile egos.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

I remember him endorsing Subaru sport-utes, not Nissan hybrids.
(did Google search to check)
Ah ... no wonder.  It was something like two years after I rode with him on RAGBRAI in Iowa in 2008, long after his competitive days (and his failed comeback).  As far as celebrity endorsements went, he was already becoming just another face in the crowd.

Oh please, if you people can't appreciate fine German engineering then that's your problem. And I don't see anyone making snotty remarks about LJ's Range Rover, which is about as snooty a brand as you can find, and far less well made than the BMW. More expensive, too if you compare small SUV to small SUV.

If I win the lottery, I'll get my Tesla X P90 ludicrous mode.

German automotive engineering now is roughly equivalent to US engineering in the 70's resting on the laurels of thier earlier success and reputation while letting quality slip.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

Their reliability is not as good as Honda or Toyota (but that has been admitted by the Germans as of 15 years ago) and there have been times when Honda, Nissan and Toyota produced cars which were arguably a better value in price vs performance. But reliability is only one factor. It led us to buy Hondas from 1982 to 2000 but their advantage is not enough to make up for other shortcomings. And we can afford better cars now.

But Toyotas' aesthetics just don't interest me and the relatively new Acura design is unappealing as well. And I'm just shallow enough not to want to buy an ugly car when there are nice looking ones available.

I've rented a lot of cars in recent years and the Camry (or equivalent) is consistently the best rental when price is included. But a lot of mid-price to cheap cars work pretty well, they all did everything effectively if a little pokey. The BMW is the best overall but costs more. And it was the easiest by far for my 87-year old father to get in and out of; which matters.

Choose first: Camry, solid car, handles well, decent performance. Fiat 500, just a fun little car.

ok: Focus, Fiesta, Mazda-3, Cobalt, Malibu, Sentra, Altima, some others, all pretty generic.

Would never rent again: Mustang (brand new with 12mi on it and really darty on the fwy), Challenger, Charger, PT Cruiser (scary bad handling).

The Leaf is so ugly it punishes your eyes, that's why. It is ugly from every direction. If you have no aesthetic sense at all this is the car for you. OTOH I have two colleagues who own them and are very happy with them.
