Nah V6. We were considering waiting till next year and getting an Explorer with the Ecoboost I4 but were leery since our old car was in need of major repair and we haven't seen the new Explorers yet and release of that particular engine isn't firm yet.
BTW the current Escapes are pretty nice. Bigger and roomier than the originals (about the size of the old Explorer sports) and good fuel economy to boot.

Scew the Escape...the only current Ford that interests me is the new Mustang GT. 
The SUper Duty trucks were nice, but that weird alien-fish front end is hideous.
