New "must have" car decal

Post by Gob »

Image

A man has been warned by police after driving around Leeds with a tailboard sticker depicting a bound and hooded woman.

The image creates the impression a woman has been tied up and is lying in the back of the pick-up.

West Yorkshire Police warned James Hellewell the picture could be considered a public order offence.

He agreed to remove it, apologising on Twitter "for any offence", adding that it had been "truly a joke".

That's very misogynistic of you, Gob. How can you live with yourself after posting that?

If it's as realistic looking when you see it on the road as it is in that picture, (which seems to indicate that it has a very effective 3-D effect) I'm inclined to agree with that...

Something like that on the back of a truck driving down the highway is likely to cause numerous unnecessary calls into 911, needlessly diverting emergency response resources, and thus endangering public safety.

Not to mention the fact that the guy's an idiot....

Who puts something on the back of their car guaranteed to get them pulled over repeatedly?

My friend had the Zig-Zag man painted on the front of his VW Beetle in our younger daze. We couldn't figure out why the cops kept pulling us over.

He should have settled for a pair of these, same mentality:

Old news...saw it 2-3 years ago. The truck was owned by a dude who ran a shop specializing in custom vehicle graphics.
