I sure hope so.
I'm looking for a compact unit with plenty of "knock-down" power.
Any suggestions?

Springfield Sledgehammer...the .500 Smith & Wesson.
(Well, OK, maybe it's not at all compact.)

That is an awesome game-changing weapon on the battlefield.
Perhaps the biggest change since the rifled barrel.

My suggestion would be a model 60 .38 J frame stainless S&W. Works well with a snap shut holster that can be well concealed in the small of the back. Low maintaince good balance. If you want something a bit bigger go to the model 66 K frame .357.

If you go for the S&W make sure it's stainless. That is the most realible and also the best.

No but it can certainly end a nasty conversation in an extreme hurry.

I admit I'm partial to their old milk-blue finish...that's what my Model 29 has.
