A banned driver has been jailed after being spotted parking his car on his way to a court appearance.

Jackson Beckett Logan, 33, was sentenced to 26 weeks in prison after after a magistrate saw him driving to his sentencing at Dolgellau Magistrates' Court, in Gwynedd, Wales, and buying a parking ticket.

Logan had been banned from the road for drink driving on January 17 but was later caught driving on February 7, despite his disqualification and not having any insurance.

He was then caught on the road again before his sentencing hearing on March 31.

Earlier today Logan admitted two charges of driving while disqualified, for when he drove to and away from the court in March, as well as two charges of driving without insurance.

Prosecutor Tracey Willinham said his behaviour was 'contemptuous' while the bench said he had displayed a disregard for the law and for the safety of other motorists.

During his original incident in January, Logan had driven the wrong way down a one way street and crashed with another motorist at a hump bridge.

The collision left the other vehicle written-off but after he fled the scene Logan claimed to police that his car had been stolen, reports the Daily Post.

However, he later admitted the offence after CCTV footage caught him in the act.

Logan was summoned to court on March 31, after he was caught driving recklessly during the previous month.

will he be required to cut his hair while in prison? It looks to me to be a very carefully maintained head of hair that will cost him heavily emotionally if he loses it.

I guess an interlock device wouldn't work for him.

The "man bun" is the IN thing these days. I wonder how it will be received by his fellow wankers IN prison.

well, I have driven to the magistrates court while my license was suspended before, but I was smart enough to park a quarter-mile away...

it was only for an unpaid ticket tho, after I returned from Massachusetts...

Delaware doesn t forget, but they are nice about things like that.

I must say that DE is a well run state. they make the court system so easy that you really don t need a lawyer unless you are a real bad guy.

The old saying goes something like this: A man (or woman) representing themselves has a fool for a client.

I've always used mouthpieces (except when charged with an infraction in traffic court).

well, I haven t had much occasion to be in court.

the only important thing I ever went to court for was to officially get custody of my son many years ago.

I did secure a lawyer s services for that, but it was the only occasion I have dealt with a lawyer....

oh wait, I got hurt at work once in MA, and somehow some lawyer found out and found my home number. he called me and encouraged me to sue them...

I cussed him 'til a fly wouldn t pitch on him.... :)

I did have to go to court once after a fellow hit my mom and I became rather unpleasant to the police as they let the good ol boy sleep it off rather than arresting him, but I handled that on my own....
