Will Jim, it would seem that you and the Meade would know me better than that; I am not interested personal attention. I am interested in ideas. What would happened is that I would write a reply and post it and it would appear and then disappear not to appear again until the next day. That is all there was to it.

But while I am here I will list some of the ideas that I am interested in seeing come fruition before I die.

1. I would like to see the Puerto Rico issue settled. They a large enough to be a state but they don’t want it. they want independence, but afraid of being on their own.

2. The rejection of the BCE/CE time dating system. The BC/AD system was invented by Christians for Christians. Others are free to us it just don't plagiarize it.

3. Accept and teach in school that Europe, Asia and India are all one continent, Eurasia. Just because ancient Greeks made a mistake doesn’t mean we should perpetuate it forever.

Rejection of Afrocentric contentions. There is a whole industry for generating this fake history; the UN UNESCO, I think that is what it is called pays for a lot of it. A while back some east African country was claiming that the cow was domesticated there. Pure crap, all cattle on earth originate from the same wild aurochs which is a Eurasian animal.

You know:

1. Who cares? You do. OK
2. BCE/CE includes C for Christian (twice) as far as I'm concerned. You should note that Christians used the term Common (or Current) Era back in 16th and 17th centuries
3. Europe, Asia and India are not one continent. You have to distort language beyond all recognition to redefine continent to mean something that it does not mean. This is just your effort to leave Africa out.

If the truth is racist so be it. Cleophatra was not black. We have pictures of her; we know what she looked like. She had a honker that really stuck out. She had little if any Egyptian blood and blacks as they are now were a minority in ancient Egypt:

I didn’t leave Africa out geography did. Look at a map. How can you honestly say Eurasia is not a single continent. If Europe and Asia are separate continents why is not India a separate continent. . It is no different than Europe or Asia in the way it connects to the others.

Well lib, they all have joiny bits that er.... join 'em. Africa too. Fact is, it was once all one big continent. Gondwanaland, Pangea and all that stuff (India was part of Gondwanaland along with Africa and the USA - so may be India should be part of the US?)

And a picture of Cleopatra - don't make me laugh more than I am already.

She hasn’t even been officially confirmed as having the role, but Angelina Jolie is already receiving criticism over her possible portrayal of the legendary Queen of the Nile.
Jolie, who turned 35 last week, is caught up in a racially charged debate over whether the role should have been played by a black woman…
The new film’s producer, Scott Rudin, previously told USA Today the role is being developed with Angelina in mind as she has ‘the perfect look’.
But this statement has angered members of the African American community.
An Essence Magazine online story asks, ‘Another White Actress to Play Cleopatra?’
‘Honestly, I don’t care how full Angelina Jolie’s lips are, how many African children she adopts, or how bronzed her skin will become for the film, I firmly believe this role should have gone to a black woman.’ …
‘Were Vanessa Williams, Halle Berry and Thandie Newton unavailable for auditions that day?’ the writer continued.
‘Why does Hollywood think it’s even slightly plausible to cast white women in roles that would be more sensible to cast a black actress for? Especially when that role is an African queen.’ …
Of course normally we do not post such show business nonsense, but it is almost the weekend. More importantly, the preposterous claim that Cleopatra was a black African has gone on long enough.
As anyone with even a smidgeon of historical knowledge should know, Cleopatra VII was ethnically Greek. He name was actually Cleopatra VII Philopator, or even more precisely, Κλεοπάτρα Φιλοπάτωρ. (Philopator in Greek means ‘father loving.’)

She was a direct descendent of Ptolemy, who was one of Alexander The Great’s Greek bodyguards.
Indeed, Egypt’s Ptolemaic dynasty was so notoriously in-bred that was very little chance of Cleopatra being anything but 100% Greek. And, of course, the time of their rule is also referred to as Egypt’s ‘Hellenistic Period.’
In fact, Cleopatra was the first in her long line to even make a pretense of learning Egyptian. She and the rest of her ancestors spoke Greek as their native language.
Furthermore, we are not talking about unrecorded history here. No contemporary authors and no contemporary artists ever portrayed or described her as having African features.
These claims of Cleopatra’s ‘blackness’ are just laughable ignorance and racism parading as history.
