The restored B-29 "Doc" is on tour. It will be in Madison Wisconsin July 20-22 https://www.b29doc.com/event/heavy-bomber-weekend/

and then on to the big Oshkosh EAA Flyin July 23-29. https://www.b29doc.com/event/eaa-airventure/

Rides start at $600 and go up to $1500. Click on rides at the top of either page. I'm not sure what the difference is, but for $1500, I'd like to at least get to sit in the right hand seat.

Start pedaling BB. You'll be there in plenty of time.

MG--click onbuy the ticket and they show that the price depends on the seat--the bombardier seat is up in front of the pilot and the observer seat is bhind the pilot; cheapest seats are the gunners seats in the last third or so of the plane. It's expensive, but it would be fun.

eta: Indeed, if I recall from war movies, the nose of the B 29 was glass so that bombardier seat would be a hell of a ride.

and the first one there in the event of an unfortunate accident. Seriously, I'd do it if I had the bucks. I'd even donate an extra hundred bucks if I could get them to buzz my backyard strip. The plane is headquartered here. A new hangar facility/education center is being built at ICT.
