Electric Honda?

My limited internet search skills found many items about Honda producing electric vehicles via a partnership with GM. However, yesterday I was watching a news program from NHK World--Japanese produced in English. I like that it is basically a typical tv world news program for the first half hour of every program and the second half hour is a tourist promotion for some cultural feature of Japan.
The news portion announced that Honda and Sony had formed a partnership for electric cars. I could find nothing about this today, but it seems to me to be much more likely to actually produce good EV cars for the world market, given the corporate culture of GM. Honda and Sony.
