Saw first gas Ford F650

Ford (re)introduced petrol power to the medium duty market last year, installing their 360HP 6.8 litre V10 in their medium-duty truck line, alongside the 6.7 litre Cummins diesel. (Ford dropped gas powered medium-duties after 1998...GM dropped their entire MDT line, including the 8100 gas engine, in 2008.) I saw my first one today, a low-profile truck with about a 20' box, owned by a plumber.
With all the problems the emission-choked diesels are having lately (we got ten new semi tractors last spring, and have ten garage queens), I REALLY hope Ryder goes through with what they are making noises about: switching at least one of the (diesel) trucks at work for a gas F-750. I told the transportation manager (in town last week) that I would be more than happy to be the guinea pig for a V10 truck!
