I have been using the Phonak hearing aid for a bit over 5 years. I got lucky and got it at Costco. total cash outlay was ~2k for a pair. Now Costco does not sell them and the 'on the street' price is above 5k for a pair. Apple produces a new model Air Pod that seems to work without need for a 'Audiologist' to set it up. Many reviews say it works better than most hearing aids. The only problem is the big white stuff hanging out your ears. That does not bother me. But then I read way down in the review and see 'fully charged' it works up to six hours. That means actual use is guaranteed to be LESS than 6 hours. Apple has not been user friendly with their battery technology. I need actually battery use of 16 hours and then over night charging.
So I buy 3 pair? That would still be less than a thousand dollars! But the management of all that stuff would be more of a hassle than I want to deal with.
Sorry Apple. And it looked so good.

Re: Apple flirts, then disappoints
I’ve been using apple products since the early 80’s (whenever the IIe came out). These days I’m upset to be tied to them. I doubt my next computer will be an Apple (my last one was unsure and all the needless obsolescence solidified that). Phones I’m gonna stick with for at least one more go around partly because I’ll finally be able to reuse the power cords and I don’t want to deal with translating my entire phone. Next time who knows
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
