Just checked out my first library book to Kindle! Now I have to go sit outside the library with my Kindle and use their free WiFi to actually 'get' the book:
Can't wait to curl up with it tonight!
For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.
~ Carl Sagan
Thank goodness the library lending piece went active, because i was feeling *extremely* guilty about cheating on my library.....
I love it so much I bought one for my sister for her birthday, and we share the account (it is registered under one of my email addys). Purchased books are automatically billed to my amazon account --- UNLESS you chose the gift option, then you can pay with whatever card you like and get around that little feature.
We have almost 100 books on the thing, between us, in the last 4 months. A nice library for travel for sure - thank goodness it uses a universal USB charging port, so I only have to carry one charger that works on both phone and Kindle!
“I ask no favor for my sex. All I ask of our brethren is that they take their feet off our necks.” ~ Ruth Bader Ginsburg, paraphrasing Sarah Moore Grimké
I've put 60+ books on Hen's i-pad for when we go to the UK.
Now all I have to do is fight her for it.....
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”
I'd never travel anywhere for more than a day without my Kindle. I am currently reading 2 books (long - and boring - story) - one on the Kindle and one "old style" paperback, and the old style is just annoying: I can't put it on a table and leave it (snaps shut) and it's heavier than the Kindle. I am going away for Christmas - no point carrying the paperback AND the Kindle, and the paperback won't outlast the trip. Kindle all the way for me ...
