We have seen how social media is changing the world around us, yet we don’t have a say in its progress.

Has he/she never heard the phrase "he who pays the piper calls the tune"?

Don't like the service? Then don't continue to access it for free. Or, if you believe you have legitimate complaints that have a hope of being resolved, communicate them with whoever runs the show. Because the rest of the world doesn't care.

Yes, Zuckerberg's a bit of a dick. (I think Big Oil executives are probably more evil than Zuckerberg, but I can't stop using gas and oil products, either.)

Facebook lets me keep in contact with friends and family I would feel very disconnected from otherwise, as I have lived all over and have dear friends/family all over, too. I love having a window into their world.

I don't post anything on my Facebook page that isn't essentially available in the public realm - but my page is private, open only to friends I've approved. I don't use all the games and other stupid apps that give viruses and unwanted email. Anyone with half a dose of good sense can figure out how to use the site while limiting the risks.

Then don't continue to access it for free

I don't access it at all and have no Facebook page.
