Who are these 41 users? There is me: and Bing [Bot] and Google [Bot] who appear to be, like me, registered users. All the rest are guests which is what you and I are if we don't bother to sign in. (I usually don't unless I plan to post something.). Are they all Bots looking for grist for the search engine mills? There are usually a few guests - maybe three or four - but I don't recall seeing such a large number before. Course, the record was 232 back in August 2020 - I looked it up. Pretty much a slow news day, as much as that was possible during 45's reign of terror.

Before reading your post, I thought you were referring to "There aint half been some clever bastards", under Science & Technology. I don't have an answer for your question. I'm curious about the guests too.

A quote from Ian Drury;

I assume so: although it's odd that "Registered Users" are Bing [Bot], ex-khobar Andy, Google [Bot]: but when I look at the Members roster I do not find the two listed Bots.

It may be that the agreement with GoDaddy (or whoever) has a requirement that certain bots (Google and Bing) have automatic access (and just to be clear I have absolutely no problem with that) while other search engines just lurk. Odd.
