All our work computers are now defaulted to Bing for searching, it's utter shite.

Can't you just un-Bing it and choose to make Google or whatever else you like into your default search engine?
I've noticed some software downloads that have in tiny print with a check mark in the box in front of it - "Do you want to make Bing your default search engine?" A lot of people probably choose it without even knowing it.

Nah, we don't have admin access to our net use.

use bing to search google then use google...
Sometimes it seems as though one has to cross the line just to figger out where it is
