All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Yes you are... and is it too much to ask that the beer be served in proper measures?

Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?
Re: A cold BEER upon arrival.

Bugger.
I just worked out that if I spill too much of the beer over my lovely paper sash (emblazoned with the words "Sanitised for your Protection") it starts to disintegrate.
Bah!

Ooops sorry couldn't resist a few slurps on the way back from the bar ...
If you can keep your head while those around you are losing theirs, you may have misjudged the situation.

Personally, I don’t believe in bros before hoes, or hoes before bros. There needs to be a balance. A homie-hoe-stasis, if you will.

So wheres the beer, and the babes..................damn I would like both.

I expect to go straight to hell...........at least I won't have to spend time making new friends.
Re: A cold BEER upon arrival.
People - PLEASE!!!
Cold beer?
Cold?????
Warm beer is where it's at
A cold drink acts as an aesthetic to the tongue, inhibiting what you taste - which is just as well, since cold beers taste like wee. Warm beers have a proper taste that is lovely.

If you live on a damp, chilly, mold-encrusted island in the North Atlantic, yeah, I could see why you'd drink warm beer. Those of us who actually have summer know the joys of a cold brew on a hot sunny day.
Especially at the ball park.

GAH!
Re: A cold BEER upon arrival.
Depends on the Beer and what you consider "cold" and "warm"
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
Re: A cold BEER upon arrival.
We get a great summer in England, I can tell you. Last year on a couple of occasions it almost hit 20 degrees! Ok, that was a little too hot for us - 18 is just about right

Ha -- packing my boxes I found six perfect Natty Boh pilsners. So happy to have them, they probably belonged to my father or grandfather!

You won't find any flames coming from this direction stoat!
Problem here is that they even chill the decent imported ales. You have to work a pint ahead to get the beer to a reasonable temperature...

Re: A cold BEER upon arrival.
I agree we Ozzies do crap beer. I can never drink it as it is too cold for my teeth.
The stuff I tasted in the UK was far, far, far superior in every way.
If I ever start drinking beers, it will be at room temperature (as long as I do not live in Oz!)

Re: A cold BEER upon arrival.
I found that - I spent 6 (wonderful) months in Sydney and the imported ales were chilled. The Ozzies thought it was very funny to watch me moan - they even kept my (chilled) beers under their armpits to warm them up for me - which was nice. Maybe there's a business opportunity there ...Sean wrote:Problem here is that they even chill the decent imported ales.
Best stay in Oz, Hen - I reckon it is the best place on earth ...The Hen wrote:If I ever start drinking beers, it will be at room temperature (as long as I do not live in Oz!)
