Shabby performance by the England top order. Two run outs in the relatively early going - disgraceful. Understandable in the later stages when time pressure requires risk but..... I kind of liked the spin bowler's outing. A bit expensive but he did get the r.o. on Pietersen and took the final wickeet (deservedly) while giving the fast guys a break without costing too much
Australia have a terrible ODi series in India to look forward to and with any luck will be shagged out by the time they arrive in Australia (after England) in November.
Amazed you were still up Gob.... toothpicks in the eyelids? Amphetamines? Coffee? Jet lag from travel back from Western Australia?

Yes and I just finished watching it (not live of course) on SS1 - they manage to get three hours (plus) down to 2.5 by cutting out much of the between-play drivel and all of the commercials. Come to think of it, that should reduce it to about 20 minutes....... Not that it matters

I thought the Nationals were going to have a good year. What do I know. 
The Mets should be a little more competetive next year, although the big question mark is Matt Harvey's arm.
Looks like he's not going for surgery, going the rehab/strengthening route.
On a lighter note. Heard on the radio that the number one MLB jersey purchased this year was Mariano Rivera's with Matt Harvey's second.
I own ZERO MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA jerseys
I do have a Jets hat.
