Charles Manson Dept.

Everyone needs love. Even Charles Manson.

The 79-year-old convicted killer – to put it mildly — who will spend the rest of his days inside California’s Corcoran State Prison has apparently found his soul mate while doing time in the big house.

Manson’s bride-to-be is a 25-year-old woman named Star — a single moniker Manson apparently bestowed upon her — who moved next to the prison six years ago to be closer to her beau. Star runs a website that calls for Manson’s release.

The love affair, detailed in a Rolling Stone magazine that hits newsstands Friday, paints a surreal portrait of a young woman swooned by one of America’s most infamous cult leaders.

Star recently carved an X into her forehead to match Manson’s famous engrave.

“Yeah, well, people can think I’m crazy,” she tells the magazine. “But they don’t know. This is what’s right for me. This is what I was born for.”

Ever sounding like a potential Bridezilla, Star insists she’ll make Manson an honest man.

“I’ll tell you straight up, Charlie and I are going to get married,” she said. “When that will be, we don’t know. But I take it very seriously. Charlie is my husband. Charlie told me to tell you this. We haven’t told anybody about that.”

Despite his good fortune, Manson sounds like he’s suffering from cold feet. Asked about the couple’s marriage plans, Manson played it down.

“Oh that,” he told the reporter. “That’s a bunch of garbage. You know that, man. That’s trash. We’re just playing that for public consumption.”

Uh oh. Sounds like someone is sleeping on the couch tonight.

Nice to see you again Dales...

Is Charlie really a "convicted killer"?

He was charged as an accessory to murder, under CA law that is the same as actually doing the deed.

Golly, I can't imagine why... :?

One of the really creepy things about this is how much she looks like the original Manson Followers and has gone out of her way to emulate them...

This is apparently a hardcore fantasy of hers...

I think the cops ought keep an eye on her and monitor all of her communications with Manson very closely....

Of course it's also possible that this whole thing is just a stunt to try and get rich and famous...

Apparently there was a Manson Death Hoax yesterday but nobody noticed...

Charles Manson is NOT dead, despite many on the internet falling for yet another online death hoax. The infamous serial killer became a trending Twitter topic on Tuesday when an unreliable media outlet wrongly reported that he had been found dead in his prison cell, but it’s 100 percent not true.

For more than 40 years, Manson has been serving a life-sentence for his part in forming a cult and instructing its members to carry out a series of murders. This week, a website called Now 8 News claimed that Manson had been found dead in his Corcoran State Prison cell early Monday morning. According to the misinformed report, prison guards approached Manson’s cell after hearing strange noises and discovered him on the ground with a slit throat.

The site even included a fake transcript of a supposed suicide note, which had lines like, “I am immortal. My body may lay here right now, but in less than 24 hours I will rise from the dead just like the great Lazarus, exactly like Jesus – because I am God!” There is a back-and-forth debate happening on Twitter as people seem unsure what to believe in regards to Manson’s alleged condition, but Gossip Cop can confirm that he is still very much alive.

Manson did not commit suicide in his prison cell, despite a completely made-up story resulting in yet another widespread internet death hoax. And, regardless of the person involved, Gossip Cop still wishes that these awful hoaxes would die out.

Manson follower Leslie Van Houten wins parole recommendation

Associated Press
Posted: 04/14/2016 04:22:32 PM PDT | Updated: 30 min. ago

A California panel has recommended parole for former Charles Manson follower Leslie Van Houten more than four decades after she went to prison for the notorious killings of a wealthy grocer and his wife.

The decision will now go to Gov. Jerry Brown, who has the final word on whether Van Houten, now 66, is released from the California Institution for Women in Chino.

A panel of the California Board of Parole Hearings made the decision Thursday after Van Houten's 21st parole hearing.

A one-time homecoming princess, Van Houten participated in the killings of Leno La Bianca and his wife Rosemary a day after other so-called "Manson family" members murdered pregnant actress Sharon Tate and four others in 1969.

She was 19 then, the youngest Manson follower to take part in one of the nation's most notorious killings after she descended into a life of drugs and joined Manson's cult in the 1960s.

Since then, she has completed college degrees and been commended for her behavior as a model prisoner.

At her hearing Thursday, she described in graphic detail how she and other Manson family members went to the Los Angeles home of victims Leno and Rosemary La Bianca in 1969.

She says she helped secure a pillow over Rosemary La Bianca's head with a lamp cord and hold her down while someone else started stabbing the woman. When one of her companions told her to do something, she joined in the stabbing., she said.
None of the so-called Manson Family will EVER get out. The political ramifications would be political suicide.

Well, they certainly shouldn't... (But you never know what Brown will do)

Van Houghton has already gotten more mercy than she deserved...

Like Manson, she was (quite properly) originally sentenced to death...

And, like Manson, because of a SC decision that had absolutely nothing to do with the merits of her particular case, that death sentence was commuted to life in prison...

I don't care if she's become a friggin' Mother Teresa behind bars...

If you commit this kind of premeditated cold-blooded murder, and you are lucky enough that you don't get the punishment you truly morally deserve, (ie, execution) then at the very least you should never have a day of freedom the rest of your life. Period.

Jim--just so I'll understand your position, I would think the parole recommendation was premised on the findings that she is rehabilitated and no longer a danger to society. Assuming they are correct (and you can use your "Mother Teresa behind bars" example to assume this), what possible benefit is gained by keeping her incarcerated at taxpayer expense? I understand that she was originally sentenced to be executed (and that you believe she should have been gassed), but the sentence was commuted to life with a possibility of parole (not LWOP), so I think we have to make that determination. Do you see any benefit to the state from her continued incarceration?

There is no longer any state interest in keeping her locked up. It is a waste of resources to do so just because the sadism of a few Californians is not satisfied yet.

Perhaps the shoe called "sadism" is on the wrong foot? Who gives a damn what "the state" interest is? The guiding principle should be the interests of the people. Why should this murderous human be allowed to re-enter society (and no doubt make money from the old memoirs)? A lot of money - unless there's some kind of "victim compensation law" that restricts profiting from heinous crime. Let her stay in prison and continue to do good there for the rest of her natural.
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

Since the state prosecuted her in the name of the people, I would think that the interests of the people and the state of California would coincide. And FWIW, if there isn't a victim's compensation or other law that prevents criminals from profiting on the writing of a book, I would think she could do the same thing from jail if she wanted to.
