Chag Purim Sameach, Freilichin Purim!!

I've been meaning to ask Sue, we've been watching a Britcom, called "Friday Night Dinner", about a Jewish family and their exploits around aforesaid dinner. It's quite a hoot once you get into it.

Is a Friday night family dinner together a traditional Jewish thing, or is it just something this (imaginary) family do?

Very traditional. We do it, too. Most of the Jews I know do, regardless of denomination.
