People who hate Marmite are similar to racists. They see a food that is dark brown and when they realize it isn't chocolate, they segregate themselves from it, criticize it, make jokes about it, and speak of their hatred for it.

If Marmite was pulled over on the side of the rode by the Los Angeles police, it would be whacked in the head with a baton and the incident would be blamed it on the Marmite.

Further, Marmite is so much ostracized by the general public, nobody would even take the opportunity to break into a Best Buy and steal a flat screen TV to protest an abused container of Marmite.

Marmite is just like you and me. It was put on this earth to be loved and appreciated. Shame on those who say such nasty uncalled for things about it.

Until a person truly understands the plight of Marmite, he cannot possibly comprehend what it is to be oppressed and rejected simply for doing nothing other than existing in this unforgiving world.

My pleasure, LJ. I'm happy to give insight to help you light your world and pass on to your children and your children's children and your children's children's children and then your children's children's children's children.

The rest is up to you.

Knowledge is like Marmite. Not everyone can handle it.

I am reminded of the old charabanc* sing-alongs on trips to the sea-side; Ten Green Bottles, Green Grow the Rushes Ho and Ten Men Went to Mow of course, but my favourite was Today's Monday with the extended rugby finish....

Today's Monday, Today's Monday, Monday is washing day
How's your father - all right
How's your mother - she might (so I suppose ma mite)
How's your sister - she's tight
When'd ya do it - all night
Is everybody happy
You bet your life we are

Today's Tuesday, Today's Tuesday, Tuesday is soup
Monday is washing day
How's your father - all right
How's your mother - she might (so I suppose ma mite)
How's your sister - she's tight
When'd ya do it - all night
Is everybody happy
You bet your life we are

Wednesday is roast beef (etc., etc.)
Thursday is shepherds pie
Friday is fish
Saturday is pay day
Sunday is church

*look it up you whipper-snappers

Is that you there in the third row, Meade?

Yes, I did have to look it up. It feels good to be a whipper-snapper, again.

Meade - channeling the characters in Little Women, who called it a "cherry bounce." At my beach you arrive(d) via Steamboat or Train:

You guys! (and guyesses)

At back Econo - sucking exhaust
My butt never looked that tight LJ (don't ask)

Ah yes Guin - one can't expect the servants to deal well with French. It is quaint though - thanks for reminding me (long time since I read LW)
"How many young ladies are there?" asked her mother, beginning to look sober.
"Twelve or fourteen in the class, but I dare say they won't all come."
"Bless me, child, you will have to charter an omnibus to carry them about."
"Why, Mother, how can you think of such a thing? Not more than six or eight will probably come, so I shall hire a beach wagon and borrow Mr. Laurence's cherry–bounce." (Hannah's pronunciation of char–a–banc.)

Char-a-banc and Beach wagon?

To keep on topic, what did these omnivores eat when they got back to dry land?

Probably marmuck and corpses. The trees and grass would have drowned.

Imagine the odor.

Jim, first you fantasize about me without pants on, and now you picture Meade's buttocks? Are you sure you're straight? :o :nana
Personally, I don’t believe in bros before hoes, or hoes before bros. There needs to be a balance. A homie-hoe-stasis, if you will.
