I got all Hen's presents in one mad rush yesterday, the only way to do it for me, and it always works.

I buy my presents for her to give me and she buys her presents that I give to her. No size/color/type problems, no returns, we get what we want/need.
Christmas is really about my kids, even if they are 26 and 30. Oh, and the dog, he's only 7.

I was going to treat myself to something or other; instead the endodontist gets an extra boat payment...sigh.

I've been making and putting up relish and chutney, and will start a batch of lemon marmalade this afternoon, so there will be a few things to put bows on!

We said no gifts but I went out and got him a new shop-vac and blew about $500 on new clothes for him which he is not good about doing for himself. He is going to be so mad at me, tee-hee. Meanwhile since I have to work so much from tomorrow through the weekend he is cooking me a Christmas dinner of lamb and the trimmings for dinner tonight.

Typical female trick to make a man feel small and mean and wrong. My wife made that mistake once. Sadly for her, I am small and mean and wrong so she's never heard the end of it

It will be ok, he will make it up in February on our anniversary. Usually with diamonds of some sort.

Same as the last few years for me: any gifts addressed to me will be destroyed unopened.

Guess I shouldn't have mailed that brick of Ben Franklins then

I m with gob.

I used to get a fairly good bonus most years, a few days before Christmas, and I always did my shopping in one night..

I like to say..., "i don t go shopping, I go buying...."

this year the extent of my buying was two guitars, holly did the rest.

I did make my son a fish club out of a piece of ironwood I had laying around. I attached a float to it that I found on beach, on the Wicomico river, when he was still in the womb...

merry Christmas everyone.

A FISH CLUB??
Most of us use a rod and reel or nets, or occasionally spears or a bow-and-arrow.  I never thought fishing involved hand-to-fin combat.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?
