In other news, two newly-launched US warships were sailing back to their home port.

The USS Donald Trump is the first example of the coal-powered Putin-class BS-TWEET BMB (Bigger Missile Button) destroyers.  This class boasts the latest in stealth oil tanker, freighter, and tugboat avoidance technology, in addition to a McDonald's and a KFC in the mess and a driving range and putting green on the starboard deck.

While en route to joining the US task force currently in the Yellow Sea, the USS Donald Trump — along with her sister ship, the USS Bigly — were informed that they were entering a potential war zone and rules of engagement were forwarded to its CIC.  The Donald Trump began to lose power and the engineering crew discovered large bone spurs in the ship's coal-fired boilers, forcing both vessels to withdraw from joining the 7th Fleet on station and return to home port.

Following behind, the civilian troop ship NRA Good Guy was also reportedly sailing back to port as there were reports of shootings on the ship, although an official news release from communications officer Wayne Littlepeter denied guns had anything to do with the shootings.  The much slower, sail-powered NRA Good Guy will be met at dockside by enthusiastic lobbyists and government officials.

After having steamed in the wrong direction for two days, spewing 'clean' black smoke, the USS Donald Trump and USS Bigly finally made it to their home port in Big-o-Lardo, Florida, where H-1B foreign-worker and Dreamer naval engineers were stymied by the disappearance of the reported bone spurs in the Trump's main boilers.  They are still searching for problems on the USS Bigly.

Crew members were given shore leave while the USS Donald Trump undergoes repairs to the non-existent problem.  Part of the crew is expected to sail with the new, smaller frigate, the USS Donald Trump Junior.

Thanks BB I have been a member of the NRA for a long time. First joined back when the military rifle matches were fired with .30-06. and a guy named Blankenship was winning all the .22 three position national matches. That was also long before that Moses actor became a face for the NRA.
Love your calling out of Wayne LaPeer. I used to get phone calls DAILY asking for money for the NRA, until I figured out how to block the numbers. The appeal was always the same--the government is coming to take your guns--even after the NRA endorsed GOP controlled all three branches of the federal government.

And only a mad man would respond to a tactical attack that wipes out an army with a strategic attack on a city because the response would be a strategic strike on his own citi
Perhaps, but then only a madman, facing the possibility of a strategic attack on major population centers in response, would initiate a tactical nuclear exchange; and even if his cities were attacked with nuclear weapons, who but a madman would respond by destroying yet more cities? Yet this is precisely the stated response to nuclear attack of every nuclear power. Why would any leader decide to do anything less one the nuclear ante is raised? And why would a Russian leader decide to raise the ante in this way, risking a nuclear holocaust. Indeed, if the Russians want to control us they will not invade or use weapons of any sort, just manipulate our elections and get more Trumps in power. what more would they get by occupying the US?

Our stuff. And our gorgeous & varied geography, with lots more warm locations than the Russians have access to.

Watched Morning Joe today; there was a historian type guy on talking about some book he wrote retracing Marco Polo’s trade routes and showing how the deals of today and tomorrow are being done by the Chinese and other nations following these historical pathways. They also discussed the prospect that the USA may be in its waning days of global superpowerdom, as we fall behind the 8-ball on the policy shifts toward the future.

I hate Donald J. Trump.

Russians are sick, weak, and useless:

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/ ... s-to-vodka

" Russian men who down large amounts of vodka have an "extraordinarily" high risk of an early death, a new study says.

Researchers tracked about 151,000 adult men in the Russian cities of Barnaul, Byisk and Tomsk from 1999 to 2010. They interviewed them about their drinking habits and, when about 8,000 later died, followed up to monitor their causes of death.

The risk of dying before age 55 for those who said they drank three or more half-litre bottles of vodka a week was a shocking 35%.

Overall, a quarter of Russian men die before reaching 55, compared with 7% of men in the UK and about 10% in the United States. The life expectancy for men in Russia is 64 years, placing it among the lowest 50 countries in the world in that category.

...

"The rate of men dying prematurely in Russia is totally out of line with the rest of Europe," he said. "There's also a heavy drinking culture in Finland and Poland but they still have nothing like Russia's risk of death."

Alcohol has long been a top killer in Russia and vodka is often the drink of choice, available cheaply and often homemade in small villages. Previous studies have estimated that more than 40% of working-age men in Russia die because they drink too much, including using alcohol that is not meant to be consumed, like that in colognes and antiseptics.

Drinking is so engrained in Russian culture there's a word that describes a drinking binge that lasts several days: zapoi."

It is not the fifty year old we need to worry about. It’s the young men of military age. These people are the same people that defeated the NAZIs and they the NAZIs were a hell of a lot tougher than we are. Hell, the Russian women are tougher than most of our men. Don’t live in a fantasy it is better to see the world as it is; there is still time to prepare.

What would it hurt to prepare a generation to deal with a Russian war in the artic? The kids have to be educated anyway. So, they get military education heavy in technical skills, foreign languages and indoctrination would that be evil? No one would be forced into the program. And except for trips to remote Alaska for winter war training it would be cheaper than a public education. They would not go on luxury cruise ships. In accordance with the Spartan life style they travel on the cheapest ships or trains available, maybe box cars. In the end, I believe the program would save the federal government money.
I expected to be placed in an air force combat position such as security police, forward air control, pararescue or E.O.D. I would have liked dog handler. I had heard about the dog Nemo and was highly impressed. “SFB” is sad I didn’t end up in E.O.D.

You are not that ignorant you know the difference between the whites and the reds. It doesn’t matter anyway they are or were the same people a little class difference notwithstanding.

You might find some blacks in Russia, but I doubt you would find any black ghettos. During the Cold War, the Soviets would send SSA recruits to Russia for military training. During the Cold War, most black Africans favored the Soviet Union, but now they are our allies until we need them. We are fools if we think they are allies they are willing to use us but not help us.

Military spending
US. 619 Billion
Russian 69 Billion

You would have to believe in magic to think they were a threat.

I think it is rather more than foolish to describe "black Africans" (whatever that means) as "our allies". Which specific countries are you referring to as "allies" and what pact or agreement for defense exists between them and the USA?

That is only because I am worried about the future of my children. Do you have children and do you care about their future? What I can see in the future of this country and that includes my people is not good.

Be worried about Trump, not some brain-dead fantasy about Russians tossing snowballs around.

And yes, I have children but the last thing that I'd be concerned with is Soviet invasions of Alaska and besides they're old enough to look after themselves - even my grandchildren are old enough to sign up for the Freedom Loving Militia of Ohio, assuming the Canadians can't beat the Russians before my descendants get at 'em.

Honestly - take a pill

In other words once your kids are out of diapers you don’t give a shit about them.

What is it that Trump is going to do? Obama wasn’t able to destroy the country in eight years. And it was the Democrats that destroyed the ability of this country to raises taxes. They mocked Bush the elder for changing his mind on taxes. Remember,” read my lips no new taxes”. Did Obama raise taxes; no, he was too much of a coward.
